Conditions deteriorate as heavy snow moves through Nebraska

Road conditions deteriorated rapidly as blizzard conditions moved into the metro Saturday afternoon.
As the snow moved across the state, multiple portions of
due to massive pileup accidents. As of 5:50 p.m., the interstate was shut down completely between Highway 370 and Grand Island.
Whiteout conditions made it difficult to navigate even city roads, and snow was falling too rapidly for plows to be able to keep streets clean during the brunt of the storm.
Cars were stuck up and down Dodge, with drivers getting out to push their vehicles out of the way, or attempting to back down the road.
6 News even witnessed a city plow stuck on the roads, struggling to keep them clear for other drivers.
As of 5 p.m., winds had not done much damage to power lines, but it is possible the consistent wind could cause outages.
