Nebraska Medicine names new $99M health center
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The new Nebraska Medicine building at 42nd and Farnam will be named after two former UNMC graduates and donors.
It will be called the Shikhar and Kristin Saxena Health Center. The $99 million building will house Nebraska Medicine’s dermatology program and will also provide behavioral health services.
The couple says they are proud to help improve Omaha.
“This institution saves lives. This institution creates the next generation of doctors, and they’re going to continue to save lives. This institution creates innovation that allows us to be a premier institution in Omaha and Nebraska,” the Saxenas said.
Construction is expected to finish by next summer. The center will open to patients next fall.
