Rain, Elkhorn back-to-school traffic to slow morning Omaha commute
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Wet roads are expected to cause the biggest commute impacts for Omaha-area drivers Tuesday morning.
First Alert 6 Traffic reporter Jaret Lansford said storms will continue popping up through the morning, making wet roads the primary issue for commuters.
Lansford’s morning traffic forecast is focused on western Douglas and Sarpy counties. Elkhorn’s first day of school is Tuesday, adding a potential traffic concern amid the wet conditions.
Creighton also is starting classes Tuesday.
Lansford said the focus will remain on commuter impacts in those areas until other traffic incidents develop.
