Driver dies after vehicle crashes into Pottawattamie County creek

POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY, Iowa (WOWT) - One person is dead after a crash in Pottawattamie County on Monday afternoon.

The Iowa State Patrol says in a release that officers were called to a report of a vehicle upside down in Mosquito Creek just north of Neola, Iowa, at about 4:30 p.m.

An initial investigation found that the car was eastbound on I-8-80 before leaving the roadway, striking a bridge railing, and falling upside down into the creek, the release states.

The driver, identified as 22-year-old Aaron Roloff, of Minden, Iowa, was found dead at the scene.
