14-year-old hospitalized after minibike crash in Omaha, police say

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A 14-year-old was sent to the hospital after a minibike crash in Omaha Saturday night.

Omaha Police say the crash happened near 23rd and Bancroft streets around 7:30 p.m.

According to OPD, a 14-year-old was heading north on 23rd when a dog ran in front of the minibike he was driving. The bike hit the dog, ejecting the driver.

The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The dog was killed as a result of the crash.
