OMAHA, Neb. (KOLN) - The 6th-ranked Nebraska softball team scored six unanswered runs to beat Creighton in Omaha on Tuesday. The Huskers defeated the in-state rival, 8-2, on a cloudy and breezy evening at the Bluejays new home stadium. The Creighton Softball Stadium opened in the fall and welcomed a mix of Nebraska and Creighton fans to its first game between the intrastate opponents.

Six Nebraska players recorded multi-hit games, including 2025 National Player of the Year Jordy Frahm. The Papillion native went 2-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs. Kacie Hoffman also had two hits, including a 7th-inning home run.

Nebraska increased its win total to 27 while no affects from an emotional and intense weekend series against UCLA. The Huskers return to Bowlin Stadium for a 3-game series against Penn State starting on Friday.
