Public hearings set for Omaha city budget, department spending

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Here are a few items on the agenda for Tuesday’s Omaha City Council meeting:

Between 1 and 4 p.m., there will be budget hearings for the following departments:

  • 1 p.m. - Police
  • 1:25 p.m. - Fire
  • 1:45 p.m. - Parks, Recreation, and Public Property
  • 2 p.m. - Convention and Visitor’s Bureau
  • 2:15 p.m. - Law
  • 2:25 p.m. - Library
  • 2:40 p.m. - Break
  • 2:50 p.m. - Human Resources
  • 3:05 p.m. - Human Rights and Relations
  • 3:20 p.m. - Planning
  • 3:40 p.m. - Public Works
  • 4 p.m. - Finance / Other City Budget Issues

The Omaha City Council meets at 2 p.m. most Tuesdays. They are livestreamed on the city’s website.
