Huskers announce 2025 conference football schedule

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - The Huskers will be playing five Big Ten games at home next year.

Nebraska Athletics released the 2025 schedule on Wednesday. The Huskers’ first five games will be home games. They’ll open the season taking on Cincinnati “at a neutral site,” then host Akron and Houston Christian before welcoming Michigan ahead of Michigan State with a bye week in between the two Big Ten contests.

The Huskers first Big Ten road game will be at Maryland on Oct. 11.

They’ll also have another bye week after playing UCLA at the Rose Bowl in early November.

Here’s the full 2025 season lineup (home games in bold):

  • Aug. 30 vs. Cincinnati (location TBD)
  • Sept. 6 vs. Akron
  • Sept. 13 vs. Houston Christian
  • Sept. 20 vs. Michigan
  • Oct. 4 vs. Michigan State
  • Oct. 11 at Maryland
  • Oct. 18 at Minnesota
  • Oct. 25 vs. Northwestern
  • Nov. 1 vs. USC
  • Nov. 8 at UCLA
  • Nov. 22 at Penn State
  • Friday, Nov. 28 vs. Iowa
