Vacant Home Catches Fire, No Injuries

No injuries are being reported in a house fire at North 36th Street and Bedford Avenue in Omaha Thursday night. It broke out around 10 p.m.

Crews tell WOWT 6 News that the house appears to be vacant, and that utilities had previously been shut off there. They also say there was a lot of debris and tree brush around the home, so that helped keep the wind from spreading the flames.

A cause has not been determined. The investigation continues.
