Third suspect arrested in Council Bluffs shooting

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Ia. (CBPD Press Release) - Police have arrested a third suspect for the murder of one man and the wounding of another last week in a Council Bluffs apartment.

Police arrested 30-year-old Markis Moses Davis of Council Bluffs for first-degree murder, attempted murder and robbery on Wednesday.

Twenty-two-year-old Anthony Walker of Council Bluffs was killed and 32-year-old Patrick Schutz of Council Bluffs was wounded in an apartment near Glen Avenue and West Pierce Street just before 6:30 p.m. last Monday

Police had been searching for Davis who was considered armed and extremely dangerous. Detectives located Davis in 3500 block of West Broadway in Council Bluffs. He was booked in Pottawattamie County Corrections.

Twenty-two-year-old Wesley Correa-Carmenaty and 19-year-old Ben Lein, both of Council Bluffs, have already been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Police are still asking for help locating 22-year-old Rachael Lewis of Council Bluffs. She is also a person of interest in the investigation. Anyone with information may contact Crime Stoppers at 712-328-7867.
