Omaha police have arrested two people accused of being serial shoplifters.
Officers were called to the Shopko, in the area of 90th and Military, at 6 p.m. on June 14. When they arrived, they found 36-year-old Ian Fegan sitting in the driver's seat of a stolen 2007 Mazda CX7. The other suspect, 38-year-old Jacki Gallagher, was found nearby.
The Loss Prevention Officer at the store told police Fegan had allegedly shoplifted from the Shopko, near 84th and W. Center, earlier in the day.
According to police, they found controlled substances on both suspects, as well as, stolen property inside the Mazda.
Fegan was arrested for felony theft – unlawful taking, possession of a controlled substance, six counts of misdemeanor shoplifting, and an unrelated misdemeanor warrant.
Gallagher was booked for felony theft by receiving, possession of a controlled substance, and felony shoplifting (2 prior convictions).
