OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Frigid weather, flowing water – a midtown mess. Crews were busy solving a broken water main late Thursday evening before it could turn into a Friday morning headache.
It happened around 11:45 Thursday night near 41st and Davenport.
Water filled the street as temperatures lounged in the teens. The ice was quick to follow.
Road crews were called in to put down salt, melting the ice.
Repair crews with the Metropolitan Utilities District went to work on the broken pipe to put a stop to this before morning traffic.
