The Board of Directors for Creighton Preparatory School elected Fr. Thomas W. Neitzke, S.J. as the school's new President.

Neitzke, a Catholic Jesuit priest, has been president of the Jesuit Academy in Omaha since 2011 where he previously served as principal.

During his tenure, he recently spearheaded a undraising campaign to establish the new Jesuit Academy Camp in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands.

The 40-year-old Wisconsin native has strong connections to the Omaha and Creighton Prep communities. He has served on Creighton Prep’s board of directors since 2011 and was elected chairman in 2013.

His previous roles at Creighton Prep have included serving as assistant principal for student affairs, assistant dean of students and theology teacher. In 2006, he was named Prep’s Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year.

Neitzke will take office as president of Creighton Prep in April 2015. Until that time, John Naatz will continue serving as both principal and acting president.

Naatz will remain principal, a position he has held since 1992.
