LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -- One woman is in custody after police say she stole a truck, took police on a chase and crashed on UNL's East Campus.

Lincoln Police said the semi was stolen from the Kwik Shop near 27th and W. The driver led police on a chase, which ended on UNL's East Campus when the woman crashed through a fence.

Police arrested 38-year-old Danna Hespen for auto theft, flight to avoid arrest, and two counts of assault on an officer. She was also cited for driving under the influence after a Drug Recognition Expert indicated a presence of stimulants.

Around 6:00 Wednesday morning, UNL issued an alert saying there was a dangerous subject near East campus. UNLPD described that person as a white female, with blonde hair, a dark shirt and jeans.
