OMAHA An Omaha restaurant is getting a shout-out from a world renowned chef and USA Today.
In a special report from Larry Bleiberg, Alton Brown reminisced about his favorite eateries he stopped at during his recent tour of the U.S. Brown appeared in Omaha late last year, and noted 'Block 16' as one of his favorite spots he ate at.
"They've turned the hamburger into high art," said Brown.
According to the USA Today article, Brown raved specifically about the Croque Garcon, calling it his favorite hamburger in the country. The burger, according to Block 16's website, features a 1/3 lb. hand pattied burger with cheese, ham, a farm egg, mustard and truffle mayo on a ciabatta bun.
Back on October 30, 2014 Alton Brown popped up in a variety of Omaha hot spots including Blue Line Coffee, Legend Comics, and Block 16.
He even sent out a tweet calling the Block 16 burger as a "new (addition) to my top 5 burgers list."
