A little rain didn't stop these earth friendly folks from getting out to Elmwood Park for the annual Earth Day event.
With rain coats and umbrellas in hand many enjoyed children and adult actives and exhibit booths with earth friendly themes. It's an event that continues to draw a bigger crowd year after year and organizers were pleased to see people eager to be more earth friendly.
"It’s amazing and amazing that it keeps growing and that we would have so many people that come out every year rain or shine,” said organizer Elizabeth Davis.
Roughly 6,000 people were expected despite the rain, with about 100 vendors and exhibitors. Many were even spotted biking and running throughout the day, even in the wet conditions.
