A UNO student was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly pulling a knife on another student at a campus library. Witnesses tell WOWT 6 News that the disturbance began when one student asked another to be quiet with his cell phone.

The situation only added to the stress of studying for finals.

The student with the phone, who police have identified as Leo Labogen, began to argue and a third student, Brandon Valle, intervened. Valle tackled Labogen when he pulled a knife. He pulled out a second knife during the melee and threatened to harm other students there. Valle tells WOWT 6 News that he has 12 years experience in the Army and ROTC so he has been trained on how to respond to this kind of situation.

When police arrived, officers found a third knife on the suspect. Labogen has been booked for attempted felony assault and three counts of carrying a concealed weapon.
