"My sister is dead. No one knows about the boy."
WOWT 6 News spoke with the sister of 45-year-old Jesus Marinero Thursday morning, who said the body found Wednesday night is that of Jesus. One of Jesus' sons, 5-year-old Josue Ramirez-Marinero remains missing. His brother, 11-month-old Angel Ramirez-Marinero, was found okay Wednesday in a La Vista dumpster.
Police have yet to confirm the identity of the woman found in the area of South 4th and Cedar streets, just north of Lauritzen Gardens. The man who found the body told WOWT 6 News it was a woman who appeared to be in her 30s or 40s.
Police do say they are investigating under the premise that it is the missing woman.
The man who found the woman's body said he and his wife were out for a walk around 7 p.m. when he noticed a body in a ditch about 5 feet down.
He said the woman had dark hair and was clothed, except for shoes and socks. He added that unless someone was walking right along the side of the road, there was no way to see the body.
Police issued an Amber Alert Thursday morning for Josue who may be in a silver 2000 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with Nebraska plates SRH 941.
