Newly released dash cam video shows two State Patrol Troopers being shot at during a chase in February.

On February 5, 2015, State Patrol tried to stop a driver near the Interstate 680/Interstate 80 split for a broken taillight. The car continued northbound on I-680, exited onto eastbound West Center Road and turned south on 108th Street. It was then that a man with a shotgun leaned out of the passenger side window and opened fire, striking the trooper's car. The two troopers inside were not hurt.

The trooper driving took evasive action and stopped. The suspect vehicle was pulled over a short time later by another trooper near 110th and I streets. The woman driving, the lone occupant of the car, was taken into custody.

Officers searched on the ground while the OPD police helicopter looked from above. The male suspect was found more than an hour later hiding in a vehicle near Prairie Hills Drive and Oak Street and was arrested.

Thirty-four-year-old Daniel Huerta Campbell of Council Bluffs was found guilty on 7 counts: attempt of a class 1 felony (2 counts), use of a firearm to commit a felony (3 counts), possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, discharge of a firearm near a vehicle. He has filed a motion for a new trial.

Twenty-seven-year-old Marissa McCormack of Omaha faces charges of being an accessory to felony, flight to avoid arrest and obstructing law enforcement.
