The museum is home to one of the largest collections of Cold War aircraft and artifacts in the U.S. Visitors can touch iconic aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft as well as learn about historic leaders and events. The museum offers free public tours, family events, Children’s Learning Center, and educational programs. The museum’s STEM programming supplements public education with field trips, camps, and monthly workshops.
A walk through the Strategic Air & Space Museum is a walk through living history. Our singular task is to present this history in a way that honors the legacy and visions that have created the great heritage collected. Not only do we seek to be good stewards of the artifacts but also wise educators that encourage continuing innovation and greatness. Celebrate with us. Learn from our projects. Be inspired when you join our mission.
Learning is a key component of our mission. We seek to provide a learning-rich environment to our young people as well as the general public with a variety of educational and hands on exhibits and presentations.
Throughout the year, we strive to present interactive exhibits that enhance our focus on science, technology, engineering and math. These temporary exhibits keep the museum experience fresh every time you return. Examples of these special exhibits in the past have included "Robots: The Interactive Exhibition" and "Suited for Space".

There's always something to do at the SAC Aerospace Museum.
Every year, the museum hosts certain regular events, such as our annual Indoor Air Show, Swing Under the Wings, Helicopter Day, and Family Fun Carnival. We are pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor and partner with the community to offer uniquely themed presentations like our Strategic Air & Space Museum Science Fair, Nebraska Robotics Expo, Leprechaun Chase, Nebraska Science Festival, and Junior Academy State Science Fair.
