Nebraska took to the field for the second game in a doubleheader against Michigan late Friday night but was unable to pull out a second win.

The Huskers took down the Wolverines 7 to 0 earlier in the night but fell short in round two with Michigan scoring 10 runs and Nebraska just 8.

The Huskers now stand at 18 and 20 for the season and 15 and 9 in the Big Ten.

After five innings, the Huskers were in the lead with a score of 5 to 3, but the Wolverines scored five runs in the sixth inning.

Both teams hit solo home runs in the seventh, the first for Nebraska' Colby Gomes.

The eighth inning saw Michigan grab another run and Nebraska snuck in two.

The game ended with the score still standing at Michigan 10 and Nebraska 8.

As it stands, Nebraska is third in the Big Ten and will take part in the Big Ten Tournament next week.
