LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - The Huskers earned their first win on Saturday against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
The final score at Memorial Stadium was 53 to 28.
The Huskers scored first, starting the game off strong. They led at the end of each quarter and were able to finish it.
The game looked a lot different than the previous game against Northwestern, where the Huskers looked strong and lost in the final minutes of play.
Nebraska is now 1 and 6 for the season. Saturday marked Head Coach Scott Frost's first win in his position.
In the post-game press conference, Frost sounded confident that the team could build on the momentum and finish the season on a better note.
He also thanked the fans for staying loyal and supporting the program through a rocky start.
