Former Nebraska Coach Frank Solich was in Omaha on Tuesday. Solich is receiving the "Tom Osborne Legacy Award' at the Outland Trophy Banquet on Wednesday night at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Omaha.
Soilch visited Boys Town, where he spoke with the media about his return to the state, where he played and coached football over 41
Solich said: "Great to be back I appreciate the fact Coach Osborne's Legacy award has been extended to me and obviously anything with his name attached to it is special."
Solich had a record of 58-19 over six seasons at Nebraska, but was fired in 2003, after a 9-3 season.
Solich said: "Things have worked out really well for me I love what I am doing I could not be any happier being around the coaches and the players that I am around I think I have fortunate in this business two ah only two moves in 52 years."
The 74-year-old Solich is entering his 15th season as the head football coach at Ohio University.
