The win pushed the Bluejays to 9-8 on the season and 3-3 in BIG EAST play, while St. John's fell to 8-8 overall and 1-4 in conference action.

Down 44-37 early in the fourth quarter, Carda ignited her squad with a traditional three-point play. The Minnesota native hit a running layup, then knocked down the bonus free throw. Faber and freshman Payton Brotzki followed suit with layups to knot the game at 44-44 with 7:40 left. St. John's reclaimed the edge with a pull-up jumper from Curteeona Brelove. Creighton's momentum was unaffected as Brotzki dropped in a three-pointer from the corner to grab the lead for the first time since the opening bucket.
