Z Files: Treat others the way you want to be treated
We begin at the Old Mattress Factory in downtown.
Last Saturday, a 25-year-old man named Cody showed up there to have a good time with two friends. They were celebrating one of the guy’s birthday and Cody was going to repay the other friend for picking up the tab last week.
The group had quite the time. They ordered16, 32-ounce Hurricanes, four shots of tequila, a white Russian and a Jack Daniels.
They also grabbed $26 of food, all totaling $275 before tip.
As promised, Cody gave the bartender his credit card.
It wasn’t long after it was declined he was running out the back door, sticking his friends with the hefty tab.
He was caught by the cops four blocks away. He told them he was only responsible for $20 of the tab.
According to the report, Cody was intoxicated and cited for theft of services under $500.
Last week was Nurse Appreciation week, but one patient didn’t get the memo.
Larry Parish was at UNMC when a nurse walked into his room to give him some pain meds.
Apparently, he didn’t need them.
Larry grabbed a jar. It was filled with urine… and he tossed it all over that poor nurse.
Thankfully, she was just fine.
Larry obviously is not. He was booked into jail for assault on a medical professional.
