OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A woman is looking for the man she said left her injured on the ground after his dog attacked her and her dog.
Vicki Line calls her dog Bella a "Christmas miracle" after the chihuahua survived the attack tat the end of December.
"He picked it up in his mouth again, and he was just rolling her in his mouth when I put this hand in there and this one underneath and pulled her out before he could clamp down," Line recounted.
She said that the big brown dog then turned on her.
Line doesn't remember the breed, but she saw and heard the dog tags.
"The dog came and first, he knocked me down and then he grabbed a hold of my hood. He was yanking me backwards," she explained.
After 10 or 12 minutes of fighting with the dog, Line said she heard a voice. What appeared to be the owner put a leash on the dog and pulled him away, leaving Line and her injured dog curled up on the ground.
"As he was going around the corner and looked back at me and kept saying, 'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry,'" she said.
Line filed a report with the Humane Society.
She said she was left with puncture wounds, while her dog was left with a dislocated eye and puncture wounds.
"Please step forward and be a man. I don't blame the dog. I blame the master," Line pleaded.
The humane society spent 10 days, twice a day looking for the dog in the area of the attack. There was no luck finding it, and the case was closed.
