Woman accosted in clash over reckless driving

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) -- A 60-year-old Lincoln woman is recovering from injuries suffered at the hands of two juveniles who confronted her when she yelled at them for driving recklessly through her neighborhood.

The incident happened around 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. Officers were called to 60th and St. Paul Ave. to investigate a possible robbery.

They found the victim there. She told the officers that it all started with someone driving recklessly in the area. She said she yelled at them to slow down. Two juvenile boys got out of the vehicle and confronted her.

She said the clash escalated as the boys began punching her and at one point one of them threatened her with a gun. They eventually left but the victim was further injured by the rear wheel of the vehicle as the assailants drove away.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
