WESTERN NEBRASKA (WOWT) -- The snow and wind have eased their grip and western Nebraska's highways have yawned their way back into service. All highways have now reopened.

All highways in the Panhandle had been shut down on Saturday as a result of blizzard conditions.

By Sunday morning, NDOT reported a mixed bag of open roads and worked to fix problems on those that remained closed.

Crews worked Sunday plowing drifts and removing stranded vehicles.

While the roads are now open, NDOT urges drivers to continue using caution.

You can track travel status on the Nebraska 511 website.

And speaking of the wind, a Hastings, Neb. Police Sergeant tweeted the following statement it made in Kimball: Sideways Icicles!
