Video system helps protect car wash
A Papillion car wash owner got tired of vandals targeting his business, so he's made an investment that's paying off.
Francis Schram installed eight high resolution video cameras with more on order to not only help protect his equipment, but also customers.
"Little safer for everybody having cameras," he said.
"I see the cameras, yeah, I like that a lot. It's a whole lot better," customer Chuck Witt said.
Schram says any damages to his property by vandals, burglars or illegal dumpers is recorded 24 hours a day from several angles. He can zoom into license plates and it has led to illegal dumping charges.
"They can track a car owner down, find out where he lives and recognize him on the the tape," said Schram.
If you can identify the suspected car wash vandals call Sarpy County Crimestoppers at 402-592-STOP.
