USPS: Some postal operations will resume

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The United States Postal Service announced Saturday that some restrictions put in place by flooding will be lifted, allowing locations to resume mail delivery service where it is safe to do so.

Though some locations have resumed operations, customers may still see delivery impacts if access to the area is unsafe.

Operations have resumed at:

  • Beemer, NE
  • Elba, NE
  • Ericson, NE
  • Ewing, NE
  • Gibbon, NE
  • Hoskins, NE
  • Missouri Valley, NE
  • Niobrara, NE
  • Norfolk Post Office and P&DF, NE
  • Pleasanton, NE
  • Schuyler, NE
  • Spencer, NE
  • Wood River, NE
  • Staplehurst, NE

Some locations will have retail services but no deliveries:

  • Cedar Bluff, NE
  • Hooper, NE
  • Scribner, NE
  • Uehling, NE

All operations remain suspended at some locations:

  • cedar Creek, NE
  • DeWitt, NE
  • Duncan, NE
  • Fremont, NE
  • Hamburg, IA
  • Hooper, NE

Note: USPS listed Hooper, NE as both retail operations available and all operations suspended. It is unclear which is correct.
