USL Omaha reveals team identity: Union Omaha

's Omaha franchise announced the team's crest, name, and colors at an event Thursday evening in the Benson neighborhood.

Prior to the announcement,

was sporting only a graphic, resembling the eyes of an owl, which

shortly before the event.

It was revealed that the team will be called Union Omaha and the white crest sports a black owl with "lightning yellow" eyes, standing above a black and white ball. The team colors will be black, white and neon yellow.

The three stars also located on the crest stand for people, place, and purpose.

"A club formed by people with a common purpose. For Union Omaha, that common purpose is to elevate the Omaha region and build the beautiful game," was the description listed for the reasoning behind the name.
