UNO, UNL, Creighton moving to remote teaching following breaks

Following similar announcements Thursday from UNO and UNL, Creighton University said it will move classes online following breaks in classes.

Creighton University

, but online classes will go on as planned, according to a release from the university.

All remaining classes will move online starting March 23, the release states.

Creighton will aim to resume in-person classes April 13, the release states. Verification of that date will come before April 6.

University of Nebraska – Omaha

Spring break at UNO will begin Saturday and be extended to March 29. UNO said the extra time will allow for preparation for remote learning.

Faculty and staff will report to campus March 16-20 for planning. Remote learning will begin March 30.

The main campus will stay open. Students living in campus housing are encouraged to return home. Those who cannot go home will be supported by the university, the announcement states.

University of Nebraska – Lincoln

UNL has canceled classes from March 16-20, moving to remote classes starting on March 30.

The university and housing units will remain open while students are encouraged to return home if they can. Students who cannot go home will be supported in residence halls.

All non-essential university domestic and international travel has been suspended through the end of the semester, the university's statement reads.

All summer study-abroad programs through June 30 are canceled.
