Two people were injured but miraculously escaped with their lives from an explosion in a Louisiana home.

It happened in Monroe. Pieces of the house were blown across the yard and neighbors said they were jolted by the blast.

Frankia White said, “I was on the couch laying down and I had heard a big ol’ boom. I thought somebody was breaking in the house. We just experienced a flood and for somebody to experience this it's like a big loss. So I just hope they find help."

White said three of her own windows were blown out from the explosion.

The two people who were inside the home were taken to the hospital for burn treatment.

Officials haven't said what caused the blast but they said they recovered “components that contributed to the explosion.”
