DODGE COUNTY, Neb. -- An Omaha man and a Fremont man were seriously injured when their motorcycles collided on Highway 30 west of Fremont Monday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 6 A.M. near County Road 10, two miles east of North Bend.
Investigators say a 28-year-old Fremont man was eastbound on Highway 30 when his Honda CX Cruiser entered the westbound lane to pass another vehicle. He collided with a westbound Harley Davidson Cruiser driven by a 33-year-old Omaha man.
Both riders suffered serious leg injuries and were air-lifted by medical helicopter to Omaha for treatment.
Traffic on Highway 30 was diverted for approximately two hours during the initial investigation of the crash.
