Omaha fire investigators say a two-alarm fire caused an estimated $500,000 in structural damage to Pettit’s Pastry at 120th and Blondo late Wednesday night.

The fire was reported around 11:15 p.m. and crews arrived to heavy smoke coming from the back of the building. The second alarm was requested about 15 minutes later.

Fire crews used a defensive approach due to the threat of an electrical hazard.

It took a little more than an hour to get the fire under control.

No one was inside at the time. There were no injuries.

MUD and OPPD crews were on scene to disconnect utilities.

Investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire.
