COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - Iowa State Troopers are investigating a crash that injured one person on Interstate 29 around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a Chevrolet Sonic driven by a 50-year-old Omaha man was traveling southbound on I-29 when it struck a Ford F-250 driven by an 18-year-old Kentucky man from behind.
The Sonic then crossed both lanes and came to rest in the median where it caught on fire.
The Omaha driver was taken to the hospital with what troopers said are non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was not hurt.
The accident is under investigation.
