Toppled tanker put crimp in Capital City traffic
The crash of a tanker truck hauling ethanol shut down traffic on the Highway 77 ramp to Interstate 80 in Lincoln Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 1:15 p.m. when the tanker toppled from the road.
The truck was carrying thousands of gallons of ethanol but the Nebraska State Patrol said none of the fuel was leaking.
The driver of the rig was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening.
