OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Sarpy County investigators do not suspect foul play in the death of a Millard West High School senior. However, the investigation is ongoing.

Deputies were called to the area of 192nd and Harrison Sunday afternoon where the boy was found next to a creek.

CPR was performed but the boy was pronounced dead. The boy’s parents had called law enforcement earlier after he did not come home Saturday night.

A prayer vigil was held at Waters Edge Church in Gretna Sunday evening. Member Abigail Randall said, “It still doesn’t feel real. It just feels like a dream, like I’m going to wake up soon. But it’s real.”

Randall said the boy had a good impact on her life and others.

The high school senior was described as a wrestler and avid rugby player. His entire rugby team attended Sunday night’s vigil. Church member Morgan Ehlert said, “No one’s really focusing on how he died. They are just remembering his life.”

The death is still under investigation. An autopsy will be performed.
