Suspect booked in connection with deadly Gretna crash

SARPY COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) -- A Michigan man has been booked for Motor Vehicle Homicide and DUI in connection with a crash earlier this month that took the life of a Gretna woman.

Cassandra Clausen, 71, died as a result of the crash.

Abram Sollman, 45, of Dowagiac, Mich., was booked Monday morning.

The accident was reported at approximately 6:15 P.M. on February 1st.

Investigators said that Clausen was traveling east on North Star Drive in a Honda CRV and was in the process of making a left turn onto northbound Hwy 6/31.

Sollman was southbound on the highway in a Volkswagen Jetta and struck the Honda.

Both drivers were critically injured. Clausen died in the hospital.

Hwy 6/31 was closed for approximately three hours after the crash.
