Stuff the Bus donations sorted, packed for students in need

Omaha Public Schools head back to school next week and with the help of this year’s Stuff the Bus event many students will be prepared thanks to the community’s generosity.

Volunteers at Collective for Youth spent part of Monday sorting out all of the donations from Stuff the Bus. First National Bank of Omaha raised $550, and along with community donations volunteers were able to buy even more school supplies.

The volunteers put the supplies into over a thousand backpacks. Five hundred were donated by members of our community, the other 500 backpacks were donated by First National Bank.
