OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Wow. Just wow! I challenge you to watch the trailer to the film “Racing Extinction” and not be in absolute awe. It's suspenseful, it's dangerous, it's heartbreaking, it's action-packed, it's visually amazing and it's getting a special screening at Film Streams on Monday (April 4) at 7 p.m.

Presented with Nebraska Wildlife Rehab, Inc., the one-time screening will be followed by a discussion with Lincoln-Neb.-based photographer and Photo Ark founder Joel Sartore, who appears briefly in the film, and Dr. Jeremy White, Instructor of Biology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

In this globe-trotting documentary, Oscar-winning director Louie Psihoyos (“The Cove”) assembles a team of artists and activists on an undercover operation to expose the hidden world of endangered species and the race to protect them against mass extinction.
