Slick roads continue to hamper travel in the metro

Use caution on the roads. The snow has stopped falling but a number of traffic accidents have been reported in the metro.

One driver lost control at 168th and Rachel Snowden Parkway Tuesday morning. The car spun out and hit a tree.

42nd Street Crash
There have been a number of accidents along Giles Road in Sarpy County including one collision at 114th Street involving a police cruiser. That cruiser accident involved a K9 vehicle. It resulted in minor damage and there were no injuries.

The Street Department was sending a crew to put down salt and sand at 132nd Street.

In another area crash, Sarpy County 911 reported an incident at 132nd and Centennial Road in which a northbound vehicle hit a power pole.

Traffic from 42nd Street to WB Interstate 80 was shut down around 9 A.M. due to a crash.

NDOT reported that the right two lanes were closed due to a wrecked semi-truck.

A 8:17, Douglas County reported a crash near 180th and Q involving three vehicles including a bus.

These are just some of the collisions reported Tuesday morning.

Drive carefully. Some roads are clear but slick spots remain.
