Sexual assault suspect Stephen Prior did not appear in court Tuesday as his arraignment began. Prior was arrested in October as a suspect in a sexual assault and robbery case. He now faces 12 separate criminal charges.

The charges include 1st-degree sexual assault, burglary, robbery, possession of a firearm to commit a felony and multiple other charges.

In total Prior is facing nine felony charges and three misdemeanors. Prior waived his preliminary trial earlier this year.

The home invasion and attack was reported on October 18th near 156th and Giles Road. Prior lives in the same neighborhood.

The sexual assault prompted a manhunt in the area. Prior was arrested two hours after Sarpy County Sheriff Jeff Davis named Prior as their suspect in the case.

Investigators believe he might be connected to other sexual assaults that all have a common thread. Each of the victims worked in the medical field.
