SARPY COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) -- The four law enforcement agencies in Sarpy County gave special thanks Thursday to officers who have gone beyond the call of duty.

Bellevue, Papillion and La Vista detectives joined a Sarpy County Deputy in receiving Sarpy County Crimestoppers Awards.

Working separate cases they've helped solve crimes that include murder, drug trafficking and motor vehicle homicide.

The officers put in long hours away from their families to protect citizens.

The awards were presented to:

  • Papillion Detective Matt Elsasser
  • Bellevue Detective Roy Howell
  • La Vista Sgt. Brian Stolley
  • Sarpy County Sheriff’s Deputy Earl Johnson

6 News also got a thank you for airing Crimestoppers reports that led to arrests.
