Salon burglary nets thousands of dollars worth of equipment and supplies

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) -- Burglars made off with thousands of dollars worth of equipment and supplies from a midtown salon.

Brogan Kauzlarich, the owner of Blue Door Salon and Spa, found the front door pried open. Drawers were pulled out and beauty items had been tossed around inside.

A half-dozen independent stylists who buy their own supplies lost expensive equipment like shears. Specialized beauty products were stolen off shelves and counters.

Kauzlarich said these were the types of products, “that you wouldn't just use at home. I mean you'd have to be certified to use a lot of this stuff. I supposed that someone could sell it but you'd still have to know what you were doing."

The six stylists and skin specialists estimate that each lost between $3,000 and $10,000 worth of property.
