SALINE COUNTY, Neb. -- A Saline County teenager was critically injured in a sledding accident over the weekend.
Tyler Hooper, a junior at Wilber-Clatonia High School, suffered a serious head injury Saturday.
According to School Superintendent Ray Collins, the family said Hooper had surgery on Sunday and responded favorably.
Collins said "long-term recovery" is likely but a hospital spokesperson said Hooper remained in critical condition.
The superintendent said, "Our thoughts and support continue to be on the well being of Tyler and his family and the Wilber-Clatonia students and staff.”
