A great evening is in store as we slowly cool from the 70s into the 60s after sunset. There is a 30% chance of a few showers or storms after midnight heading into the morning hours of Wednesday. They'll be few and far between though. Lows will fall to near 60 degrees.
There is a 40% chance of a few showers and storms Wednesday morning and before 3pm in the afternoon as a cold front moves through. The threat of any severe weather and most storm activity will likely be southeast of the metro and southeast of our viewing area. A few storms are possible in Southwest Iowa into the late afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 70s near noon Wednesday before cooler air moves in the rest of the day. Northwest wind at 10-20 mph will gust to 30 mph at times into the evening too. Wednesday night will likely be a windy night.
Thursday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of spotty showers during the morning and afternoon. Highs will be cooler in the 50s with a brisk northwest wind most of the day.
Temps rebound quickly heading into Easter weekend with highs near 80 degrees likely Saturday.
