OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Clouds and cool conditions will remain in place this evening. A few spotty showers will be possible well to the north of the metro, with those showers drying out this in the next few hours. North breezes will continue as well at 10 to 20mph, with occasional gusts up to 25mph. Temperatures will fall into the 40s this evening, with overnight lows around 42. Clouds will begin to slowly thin out after Midnight.
Partly to mostly sunny skies will return by Tuesday morning, with more spring-like temperatures returning as well. Temperatures will warm into the 60s by midday with highs Tuesday afternoon around 70 in the metro. The comfortable Spring weather will continue right on into Wednesday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle 70s. A few stray showers may move through parts of the area, mainly to the north and west of the metro Thursday morning, but partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s are expected in the afternoon.
The weather pattern begins to become a bit more active by the end of the week. A storm system will slide by to our north on Friday, dragging a cold front through the area. Temperatures on Friday should still reach in the low to mid 70s, but a few showers and storms will be possible, especially late in the day and into the overnight hours. A few leftover showers are possible on Saturday, but breezy southwest winds will kick in helping to warm us into the 70s once again. Additional chances for showers and storms pop back into the forecast for Sunday and Monday, with slightly cooler temperatures as well.
