Rusty's Evening Forecast - Frost possible tonight before a warmer weekend

By  |

The winds will drop off pretty quickly this evening as the temps fall from the 50s into the 40s. Clouds are forecast to slowly fade overnight as well. This will lead to a pretty cold May morning Friday. A Frost Advisory is in place west of the metro from 2 to 9am Friday with area of frost expected. Temps will only drop into the the upper 30s for the rest of the viewing area.

After that chilly start, we will get a pretty pleasant day for the rest of Friday. Skies become partly cloudy by the afternoon and highs reach the mid 60s.

Saturday will be even warmer with highs near 70 degrees. A southwest wind at 10-20 mph will help us warm. There is a cold front dropping in Saturday evening bringing with it a 60% chance of showers and a few storms after 6pm. It should be a narrow band of rain that moves from northwest to southeast.

Mother's Day won't be too bad for all the moms out there! Temps in the morning will be in the 40s gradually warming into the upper 60s by the afternoon. Skies become mostly cloudy and wind will gust to near 30 mph from the northwest so at worst it could be a bad hair day!

Warmer highs in the 70s and 80s are likely next week.
