A traffic accident on Interstate 80 eastbound to Highway 75's southbound ramp shut down ramp access Friday afternoon.

The rollover crash happened around 2 P.M.

According to Omaha Police, a 2006 Dodge Ram made a sudden lane change, lost control and struck the bridge attenuator and guardrail. The vehicle then overturned.

Omaha Fire extracted the pinned driver from the truck and he was taken to Nebraska Medicine with possible serious injuries.

He was identified as Curtis Ahl, 34, of Omaha and is being treated for a broken hand and a head laceration.

Ahl was cited for colliding with a fixed object and not wearing a seatbelt.

The ramp was closed during the investigation of the crash.

NDOT officials said that barrier that Ahl crashed into had just been replaced 24 hours before from a previous crash.
